Kendriya Hindi Sansthan

(Central Institute of Hindi Agra)

The Central Institute of Hindi (Kendriya Hindi Sansthan) invites applications for scholarships for the study of Hindi at its Institute in Agra India for the Academic Session 2011-2012. The Central Institute of Hindi is an autonomous organization of the Government of India and is governed by the Central Board of Hindi Teaching. The courses designed by the Institute and are meant for teachers/students whose mother tongue is not Hindi.

Eligibility for admission:

Minimum qualification: Twelve (12) years of school (10+2) or college education.

Age Limit:

The minimum age for admission to any course is 21 years and the maximum age is 35 years. Relaxation in maximum age limit can be granted in special cases.

Requirements for Admission to the Courses

The Institute allows admission to foreign students in the following categories:

a) Students under Promotion of Hindi Abroad Scheme (PHA Scheme).
b) Students deputed/ sponsored by Governments/ Agencies/ Institutions of various countries.
c) Students selected under Cultural Exchange Programmes

Admission procedure:

Candidates can obtain Application Forms which are available at the High Commission of India, 6 Victoria Avenue, Port of Spain or can be downloaded from the Institute's website www.hindisansthan.org

Duly filled in Application Form may be submitted no later than 2 June 2011 along with personal biodata, photographs, physical fitness, certificate of academic attainments and other relevant documents in support of the application. The application should also have recommendation of an expert of Linguistics/Hindi or of a Lecturer/Reader/Professor/Director of any Institute/University in the country of the candidate.

NB. Incomplete applications or the applications which are not on the prescribed format shall be rejected.
