Eligibility Criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the final MBBS examination (written and practical) from a recognized university. Candidates who are yet to appear for the final MBBS examination are also eligible to apply, but they must provide proof of passing the exam before the interview stage.  
  • Age Limit:
    • For most posts: The upper age limit is 32 years as of 1st August 2025.  
    • For Medical Officers in Central Health Services: The upper age limit is 35 years.  
  • Age Relaxation: Age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen categories as per government norms.

Selection Process:

The selection process consists of two stages:

  1. Written Examination (500 Marks):
    • Paper I: General Medicine and Paediatrics (250 Marks)  
    • Paper II: Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, and Preventive & Social Medicine (250 Marks)  
  2. Personality Test/Interview (100 Marks): Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for the interview.
